Dr. Gómez
As an integrative psychologist, my focus in treatment is to consider the different areas that impact a person’s life and well-being. My approach to psychotherapy is based on the belief that everyone can heal and change. In my work, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment where we can build a trusting and collaborative relationship towards positive change. My approach is to treat the individual by attending to the many areas of their lives, helping them improve everyday functioning, increasing self-efficacy, and fostering healing and growth. I have extensive training working with individuals, couples, and families. My emphasis is treating individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, loss, and grief, cancer patients, and caregivers, along with trauma related to developmental trauma and traumatic experiences.
I feel that almost everyone can benefit from mental health services by receiving the appropriate treatment to cope with life stressors and address their mental health concerns related to depression, anxiety, and trauma, among other conditions. The goal of the treatment and interventions is individualized to each person to help them understand, heal, and achieve a sense of well-being and wholeness to flourish in life. In my work, I help them reach a deeper level of insight and understanding that will improve not just their lives but the lives of their families and communities. I am passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma and reach a level of well-being and a sense of inner peace in their lives.
I look forward to working with you!
